Business Development Manager

Position Summary

The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for managing ONCALL Training College’s student recruitment, including developing and implementing a recruitment plan and providing resources and information to assist in moving prospects to enrolled students.

The Role

A sales focused role, under the direction of the RTO Manager, this role will report to the Chief Executive Officer. The Business Development Manager will assist with increasing student enrolments into all ONCALL Training College’s programs and responding to and converting leads from all channels. This includes achieving targets through conversion from the first point of contact to enrolment and attendance at classes.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Make outbound calls to all enquiries through a consultative process in an acceptable paced working environment

  • The Business Development Manager will drive student enrolments through an increase in conversion rates at all steps of the sales cycle from lead through to enrolment
  • Work to convert leads at all stages of the sales funnel through effective time management, excellent communication skills and a commitment to customer service
  • Researches and utilises data and recruitment tools to select prospective audiences to target for sales and recruitment messaging
  • Actively participate in all meetings, Open Days. Orientation & Information Sessions and training when required. Participate in off-site recruitment-based events such as Industry Provider’ visits, high school visits and expos
  • Ensure maintenance of data in CRM (VetTRAK and Wisenet) and ensure application files are kept up to date to ensure regulatory compliance of student records
  • Tracks and reports recruitment information, and monitors enrolment progress
  • Collaborates with ONCALL Group Australia Recruitment team and Quality and Design Manager to manage recruiting efforts for integration of prospective students to the college
  • Supports student success strategy by assisting college departments to deliver students success messaging and information.

General Expectation

The Business Development Manager is expected to accomplish assigned duties in an efficient, effective and competent manner and to strive for improvement and excellence in all work performed. Additionally, the Business Development Manager must understand the comprehensive role of the College and cooperate and work harmoniously with students, faculty and staff, and the public. Employees will follow all college policies, rules, regulations and guidelines as they relate to this position.

Specific Tasks

·         Serve as the lead point of contact for customer account management matters

·         Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships

·         Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits

·         Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas

·         Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)

·         Prepare reports on account status

·         Collaborate with OTC team to identify and grow opportunities within territory

·         Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed

Essential

Desirable

  • Experience in a call centre environment
  • Bachelor’s degree qualification desirable in Business or customer service-related field
  • Knowledge or experience of Disability and community Services will be highly valued
  • Experience in student recruitment within the education market highly desirable
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team setting within a fast-paced environment and adapt to change
  • Sales and customer service experience with a proven record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
